It's been a long spring
Posted July 11th, 2014 @ 1:43 pm EST

And now it's summer. The past few months are blurred, friends. After a quick trip to Seattle's AWP Conference, I spent three weeks at The Hambidge Center residency, which was followed by insomnia and then mono. Who knew you could get mono at my age? FYI: the doctor says you can get mono at any age. After twelve weeks of a deep and clammy fog that I pray never again descends on my mind, I feel like my intellect and body have been resurrected. And I am grateful.

I will post the audio recording of the panel I participated in at AWP called "Pitching Outside the Box: How Literary-Minded People Write for Nonliterary Publications" in a day or two. It's a great primer on how to get going.

Also, I've updated the Events page to include the creative writing courses I will teach this fall, both privately and through Emory's Continuing Education Program. I will also teach a Nonfiction Workshop in the spring through ECE, though it is not yet online.

I'm also developing an online creative writing course, but that will take some time to develop.

I wish you all health and a clear mind.
